Our History

Cross Developments is a family owned Vancouver based commercial and residential land development group of companies with offices in downtown Vancouver and in Kamloops. We are proud to have been in business for over 36 years. Our expertise is based on developing retail and commercial properties, serving tenants in the gas and oil, food, and related services industry within the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and interior of BC. We have developed several residential properties including market and rental properties.

The company was started in 1984 by Norman R. Cross during which time he developed a reputation for being tough but fair with all of our partners and stakeholders.

He has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial and residential land development with particular expertise in the service commercial and hospitality industry. He was raised in Ladysmith, BC, has been married for over 50 years (to the lady!!) and has two children and four grandchildren. He remains an active owner in the company as an advisor and business mentor.

In 1997, Norm’s son Barry joined the company after serving with the Canadian Air Force for ten years. He is responsible for all aspects of development and asset management activities, including acquisitions, property entitlement, construction, leasing and property management. He lives in North Vancouver, BC, and is married with two children.
